The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas- My Own Alternative Ending (Chapter 1)

It was the 2nd of May, the day when Berlin surrendered and also the day when Father was killed in the Battle of Berlin by the Soviet Forces.  When Mother heard the terrible news and broke down crying, Bruno was shocked to find that the only feelings he had was- nothing.

Bruno disliked his father. He was cold and cruel man, taking pleasure in other people's misery. Even though Berlin had lost the war, Bruno was glad that it had finally ended. During the year that they had stayed at Out-With, Bruno's friendship with Shmuel had taken him from innocence to revelation, about the horrors that the Jewish people had been subjected to by his own country.

In one way or another, Bruno was happy that the war had finally ended, once and for all. Too many people would die if Berlin had won.

"Bruno," Maria's soft and gentle voice interrupted his thoughts," your mother would like you and Gretel to move some boxes to the truck. We are leaving this place soon."

Bruno nodded and trotted  to the living room, cluttered with many boxes. He let out a huge sigh of relief. Finally, they were leaving this desolate place.

  2. All the people out there making alternative endings to Boy in the Striped Pajamas needs to stop it. It's uncalled for and totally disrespectful.
